I found "Chance" to grow more boring as the episodes progressed. The series would have benefitted by cutting @ 1/4. As it went on, it lost sharpness and definition of characters. D is a cliche and Laurie's characters' mood changes are unbelievable. Finally, the plot grows more tangled as it unfolds. '

Didn't anyone see connections to today's women's lib movement and their physical and mental abuse? While the story line is apparently involved with the religious and social aspects of their lives,, it can readily be read as allegorical. Think of it in these terms and then interpret what you saw.
