I watched all 70 episodes! The acting was awesome by all the cast, really just top flight. A 5 rating for sure. The costumes were amazing and while I don't know much about clothing from the period, I think it must be spot on! Again a 5. The plot, ugh, well I know that even if you take into account that gender roles were probably pretty narrowly defined during this age, I think there were a significant number of plot holes that should have been filled. The first 50 episodes zipped along at a cohesive speed, the last 20 episodes fell apart! The ending literally sucked. In fact I ended up resenting the fact that a watched a strong female character for 70 episodes that ultimately bought into the entire male analysis of her life chose the easy way out, while smiling I might add!! Just ugh, FSW's character deserved more respect given the obvious depiction of her intelligence. In fact, I recommend watching the first 50 episodes and stop, figure the ending out for yourself, you'll do better than the screen writers for sure!! So my 3 rating is a combination of a 2 for plot with above stated 5s for acting and costume.
