There are some intelligent, informed and erudite responses to the series. The exceptional ones that say, "It is a poor adaptation of the book(s)" miss the point. In the opening sequence it tells you - a story 'based on the characters in STP's books' (i.e. not a retelling). I think Sir Terry would have loved it.
