Janelle Lugo – Google

This tv series was amazing. I've never watched a series like it in my entire 30 years of living. It was extremely unique, the acting was top tier, and the storytelling/themes were very thought-provoking and emotional. I will say, if you're naturally inclined to anxious thoughts of life after death/existence, I would watch it with a friend and be careful with the way the series makes you feel throughout. Being someone who suffers from anxiety surrounding death: there were points in the series where I had to pace myself in my thoughts. I binge watched it, so maybe going slower, that theme wouldn't have hit me as hard. But it was still a GORGEOUS portrayal of vampires/religion/life. I am now convinced Jesus was a vampire. Just saying, it makes some sense.

SPOILERS AHEAD I saw this when I was 10 years old in theaters and I was TERRIFIED. I mean me and my younger bother shared a seat because we couldn't stand to sit alone in our own seats, and that was just within the beginning credits. The music: *chef's kiss* very good on inducing fear and stress just with the score alone. The movie had me on the edge of my seat, literally. The scene where the brother is watching the aliens on TV during that kid's birthday party: I SCREAMED aloud during the jumpscare with the alien popping out from behind the bushes. The fact that all this happening ties into the fact that the main characters wife died and somehow she gives them advice on how to ultimately kill the aliens: was very M. Night, but I love that about most of his movies. They have to have a storytelling aspect to them. Highly recommend watching

This is one of my favorite films to expose people to when I first meet them. If you're one of those individuals that takes every single movie they watch seriously: don't watch it. This is a movie you go into with an open mind and no expectations. It was very weird in the way it was filmed, the story it told, but it was very entertaining at the same time and touched me in a way I will always remember. My first time watching it, I was over at a friends house and she did nothing except put it on to play and I had the best time viewing it and have not shut up about how good this movie is since.
