Roger boon

Light hearted drama held together by the comic performance of David Duchovny and Evan Handler throughout, although weakened by dreadful cameos from Rob Lowe and Kathleen Turner in the middle of the series. Somehow the frequent inclusion of drug use and reference to questionable sexual activity seems acceptable and funny because of the light touch it is given by the actors. Indeed, without it, this would be a rather dull and disappointing romance.

A beautiful film, brilliantly acted, directed, scripted and shot. Perfection.

Great acting and witty dialogue often let down by daft storylines and the return of the shaky “documentary fly on the wall “ style camerawork that was just distracting. All not lost however with the build up to the last episode and final twists as good as you’ll see anywhere.
