My friend and I had no idea what to expect in this latest Indiana Jones movie and did not expect the level of thrill of the first three movies, but we were wowed! The shows on 7/3 were nearly sold out for the entire day at our theater, the tables were full of food and drinks, the crowd was excited, there were 5 waiters working the room, and not a single person got up to leave the theater in 2 1/2 hours. While the signs beforehand augured well, nothing prepared us for what a master class of a movie in its genre it turned out to be. The story was excellent, Harrison Ford dispensing grit, wisdom, courage, and humor while Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the perfect counterweight with her smarts, resourcefulness, and wit. The nostalgic cameos helped move the story along while reminding us of glorious past adventures and the action sequences were seamless and breathtaking. Best of all to me, the biggest reveal was smart and unforseen, and the smallest one beautiful. What a ride and what a treat!
