This book is terrific. I am maritimer-born and raised and now considered “from away”, as I moved (from PEI) in 1988 to western Canada. This novel captures the essence of growing up in a small Maritime community-Newfoundland -in this novel- and made me laugh and remember many great times and adventures as a youth. This story, complete with Newfoundland history, slang and traditions will hit home to all who are fortunate to read it.
