If you're looking for a light treatment of the insanity of politics (such as Julianne Moore's amazing portrayal of Sarah Palin in "Game Change") don't look here. This movie was extremely heavy handed, and deeply troubling. If you are, like me, someone who has said from day one that the Iraq war was a scam, there is still plenty of disturbing information here to surprised you. If however, like 70% of America, you believed that Saddam Hussain was involved somehow in 9-11, you will probably learn more from this movie than you can bear to know.
As for Cheney's character:
The frigid blatancy of his power-for-power's-sake scheming, plus his nonchalant disregard for the suffering of humanity (excepting that of his own wife and children) was chilling, beyond my expectations of being chilled.
Frankly, I couldn't wait for the movie to be over, and when it finally was, I wanted to take a shower.
