I think the Iliad and the Odyssey is a great book because it is always full of action and adventure. I feel like there are three main stories in this book. This includes the wedding, the war, and after the war, the main character (Odysseus) getting blown off course to islands where danger lurks. The main character Odysseus is a smart man who didn’t want to have to fight for Greece as a soldier. He’s the one who came up with the trojan horse plan, which was a really smart trick. And the fact that he survived the whole thing was pretty impressive! One bad thing about the book is that it contains a lot of violence and unnecessary thoughts about bad things. But I like this book and I totally recommend this for people who like adventure and action. I don’t recommend this for anyone who can get a shock easily. Like I said I think this is a great book and it gets 4.5 stars. Notice: This book does contain blood so this book would be better for older children ages 9-11.
