I had this movie sitting in my laptop for almost two years, had tried watching it once then fell asleep. Was about to delete it, then something told me to give it a go. I didn't even start from the beginning. And boy am I glad I did. this movie depicts the universal truth. All men want, or don't want, to be like their fathers. Most end up being parts of them rubbed off.
Denzel and the cast did a fantastic job here. Sometimes I felt as if they didn't realize they were performing, and their true feelings peeked from behind the veil and reached out from the screen to touch our very core.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
