Outstanding, Well Written , Sad, Tearjerker and, Very well Acted series about a Korean Family's struggle to survive whilst being colonized/ruled by the then racist, violent-Japanesese.. also the cinematography was spectacular-Beautiful . I certainly cried real Tears too. In truth I must admit I only watched this Awesome series on Apple TV in America via English Subtitles because, I ADORE & Respect the Phenomenal, Talented, Outstanding, Very Handsome Korean MegaStar ** Lee Minho * * who was in the series ..I just wished LEE MINho had appeared in more scenes- more often and, had married Sunja .. Hopefully this Mesmerizing Apple TV Korean/Japanese series PACHINKO and, the Outstanding Actresses + Actors will WIN many Awards which they certainly deserve ...

Good Series, I've gotten use to watching Asian Drama series with English subtitles, Lead Actor Lee Ho Min is VERY, Very Tall, Dark & HANDSOME and, I loved his Charactor , but I didn't like the Lead Actress character ,because, she belittled The King 👑 called him terrible names & constantly kept humiliating & hurting his feelings.that was ridiculous.. She is a Very Pretty Girl and, a Good actress too, I just am Not use to a Man supposedly being so Mesmerized and, attracted to an Androgynous Female wearing baggy Male type outfits who acted like a Tom Boy tough guy .. the Handsome Actor portraying Captain of the Royal Guard was excellent,and the Villain Uncle is also very Good Looking & his Charactor was very very Kool & Mascueline I recently watched tge Good Looking Actor portraying Captain of the Royal Guard in the Netflix series My Country , I adored the Senior Lady who was in charge of The Kings Palace etc., I BINGED Watched this series twice because I knew it had a happy ending unlike the Writer's other series Mr. Sunshine & My Country etc
