I expected greatness of course when I heard about the movie Oppenheimer & my favorite director Christopher Nolan ! As a Nolan fan I found this movie to be a little more slower paced than his other films but all the while still great !
The film in my opinion kind of didn’t live up to my expectation of Nolan and here’s why . Even though it was a great film and captured history that most of us couldn’t witness first hand , I personally thought it could’ve been more of a psychological thriller . Christopher Nolan is known for psychological thrillers and really playing on his audiences mind and psyche. “ Oppenheimer ” kind of JUST missed that punch I was hoping for .
I hoped that this movie would’ve really dug into Robert Oppenheimer’s mental health and left the audience stunned of what a huge, gruesome ,chilling , and overall difficult responsibility it was for Oppenheimer and how any human left with that responsibility would crumble essentially .
The soundtrack of course was AMAZING and the visuals were stunning ! The lineup of actors/actresses were HUGE & so many familiar faces of big stars were in this movie which was great to see all those big & bold personalities & talents in one production !!
I overall give this amazing film an 8.7/10 !
