While only a few episodes in, this show (uncharacteristically) exceeded all of the pre-season hype. Fun to watch, thought provoking, and maintains interest for the duration. So far episodes are also consistent. Don't know what show the "Rotten Tomatoes" type ratings groups are watching, but once again, the shows we like in our family usually are rated in the 35% - 65% or 3.5 - 6.5 based on which "service" you look to for your ratings. Suggestion for enjoying this show if you haven't seen it yet is (if you can) get caught up on a streaming service, then sit down each week and just enjoy it! You will. Final note: A big factor in this show's appeal is that Jesse L. Martin is perfect in the lead. You don't see him as "the guy from Broadway" or "that guy from the cop shows." You see him as Professor Mercer.
