i have never seen such a terrible movie in my LIFE. the book? oh, its beautiful. one of the best pieces ive ever read. the movie? dont even bother. its downright disgraceful for such a good book. every complexity and profound piece of the book was completely ripped from the movie. they just bounced from one scene to another in the movie with no care to address any of the characters feelings. it was just "oh, im upset at you." and it moves on. they HORRIBLY butchered charlie and his mothers characters SO BAD. they are the best written characters in the book and theyre so shallow and dull in the movie. im not really a movie critic kinda guy, but ive never been so genuinely infuriated and repulsed by a movie in my life. PLEASE read the book, you don't have to watch the movie. it is not worth the two and a half hours.
