The film tho slow at times was a masterpiece of direction and special effects and Jack Nicholson's outstanding performance helped sustain Shelley Duval's high school level attempt at acting. In my humble opinion another virtual unknown actress was required however Shelly Duval was the absolute worst choice for that role. The young boy whose name escapes me was spot on as was Scatman Cruthers... and the finale was perfect. But I LOVE everything by Kubrick. And if you haven't seen it you must see A Clockwork Orange and you must watch it at least twice to get it.

The plot is good..camera work is good editing is ok..Bassinger is overacting IMHO but most importantly why oh why oh why they used Chris Evans for the lead is beyond me...did they want this to by a Ryan Reynolds as Van Wilder ...he alone makes the movie a total farce I only stayed cuz my girlfriend wanted to
