Let's confess it lads... Casting is horrible...Acting is mediocre (except Henry Canvill) Millions of people were waiting this series because they had played Witcher 2 / Witcher 3 computer games.They were fascinated and they were waiting a movie or series. And Yes...this could be the Next "Lord of the Rings" and "Game Of thrones" combined.Imagine a series which has 300 million fans before releasing a single episode because of the CD Projeckt's (Developer of Witcher games) success. Now wtih such a preestablished audience;You can make the legend come true....And Look What did they do? For Geralt Of Riva (Witcher - Henry Cavill) ==> %85 Henry Cavill (while not being the witcher in my mind) is a good casting choice and he is acting really good.When you watch him you say...yea there can be a witcher like this.Not quite as pictured in the game...but yes...there can be a such a version For Yennefer (Anya Chalotra ) ==> %50 Yennefer (as pictured in game)has an slavic extraordinary beauty with black hairs and blue eyes.She is a self confident,powerful mage.He reminds us a 30-35 years old mature women holding power and beauty.They way he talks with geralt is not like a adolescent, high school lover...Anya Chalotra (unfortunately) is not even close to such a such a women by age,by beauty,by race...(no racism here...she is just NOT what yennefer represents...).Her acting is between mediocre and good... For Triss Merigold ( Anna Shaffer) ==> %35 Triss Merigold is representing (in the game) a 25-30 years old, younger women(in proportion to yennefer) who has a deep love to Geralt (witcher) that she hides inside...And when upportunity comes,she uses his red hair & green eyes with his lovely attitudes to win geralt's heart. Anna Shaffer has neither red hair nor green eyes.Her skin is dark.He is NOT EVEN CLOSE to a young women(age 25-30).He does not and CAN NOT picture Triss.No way...His acting is i don't know....lets say not bad... Ciri.....(Daughter of Witcher- Freya Allan ) ==>%45 Casting choice is not too bad..But you should show us a different person acting for the childhood of Ciri and Freya Allan could play the Young Ciri...Choosing to play both Childhood (she was 7 years old) and Youth (something like 19-20 old) with same person did not work... So for Ciri,casting choice is not bad...but her acting -especially when showing us that she has ancient blood - must be improved.Sometimes sher acting is like a joke.... How will you create a love triangle between them in coming seasons?How the audience will hesitate to choose between yennefer and triss?(as it was in game.In game who would you choose? triss or yennefer is the core of your love affair.And yes..you start to hesitate...) Will you represent triss as a woman who steals her friend's (yennefer) lover? Which is not actually what triss does... I mean it is obvious...casting is horrible...And Only Henry Canvill can not carry whole series... And if we will talk about CGI (computer generated images) ...which we must...they almost dont exist...YOU ARE CREATING A WORLD FULL OF DRAGONS / GHOSTS / VAMPIRES / TROLLS ETC...Will you make it with this limited CGI? those creatures on last episodes WERE JUST PUPPETS...They were not CGI...DO YOU THINK THAT THIS IS MUPPET SHOW? if you think so...let me tell you one thing...IT IS NOT.... Netflix MUST wake up.....and show this series the ultumate attention it deserves.... For now ...it can take only 2 stars because of its name.... If i was director, i would make up a reason to change casting.Yennefer and Triss would be replaced...
