I have read the historical account. Murray was brilliant. But he a was self-taught school teacher And Dr. Minor’s romance is made up. He was a paranoid schizophrenic, by today’s standards, and did murder Merritt’s husband while suffering from auditory/visual hallucinations. But there was no romance with Merritt’s widow…. Too much BS: The real story is better.
