I just finished watching the OK Computer series on Hot Star today. I had great expectations since it was being made by some brilliant minds like Anand Gandhi and his team who had spearheaded some of the most inventive and rather fresh concepts like Ship of Theseus. Let's look at the various aspects one by one. The making was fine and the use of CGI/ Visual Effects was done in a good and very well convincing manner. But the story didn't appeal to me much. It might be partially due to the fact that upon logical thinking, we know that such drastic changes cannot happen in the next 5 or 10 years. Also despite being branded as a 'sci-fi comedy' I felt that the series lacked the real comedy element a lot... Now the acting. The acting by all main leads like Vijay Varma, Radhika Apte and Jackie Shroff was excellent. Jackie Shroff was able to maintain a funny yet creepy character throughout. All the other aspects have been done well. I am giving this series - 3/5 because as a maiden sci-fi comedy it was not that good. But since they have chosen a fresh subject which is kinda offbeat, I would go with this rating. It's not that great but an average watch that you can binge over the week certainly !
