Its a book about problems of the world, not just climate change. The problems are seen to be caused, according to the author, by the wealthy and use of analytical techniques like discount rates which favour current consumers and penalise future generations. Hence, rising temperatures and global warming. The story covers everything from climate change to sociological, economic, scientific and psychological challenges. There is some scientific evidence but much of it is anecdotal bits and pieces. The Ministry for the Future seems to be responsible for solving all problems facing and caused by individuals, countries, economies, businesses etc. The book is different.
