This movie was so bad I was laughing out loud at a lot of scenes! Yes I’ve played all the games and this movie is a disgrace to all the hard work & character development in the uncharted ps universe. First off, I’m not sure who’s decision it was to cast Marky Mark as Sully but they should be fired. The character of Sully is supposed to be witty, grumpy, & badass kind of like an older Magnum PI, but MW doesn’t have the acting chops. His take is expressionless & emotionless, like there’s nothing going on behind the eyes - no depth. Tom Holland does a fairly serviceable job as Nate but the dialogue is atrocious, like lol bad! I feel like they should have hired older for both Sully & Nate, but of course the studios must demand the young, the buff & the famous otherwise no one will watch the movie! Okay and the music, so uninspired, so flat, so boring. It’s like the music supervisor googled “music that young people like” and then just did the cheaper SoundCloud version of that. I will say the visuals were spectacular, but I wish studios would stop treating the audience as pea-brained zombies who are only wowed by big bangs & beautiful colours. Give us more story, better acting, dialogue & music - all of these are better in the games. I’ve even found myself tearing up in the games, but in this movie I just found myself laughing & cringing most of the time.
