Many people here are saying that this show is a rip-off of the Harry Potter series. In fact, these stories came first, in a book series titled The Worst Witch, by author Jill Murphy. The first of the six was published in 1974, whereas the first Harry Potter was published in 1997, more than twenty years later. If anything, Harry Potter was a rip-off of The Worst Witch!
