This game all in all I would give it a 5/5 if it had something to do after the first 2 times through. But Here's my opinion of it.
Story 5/5, this game has as much story and character development ,that affects core main story, you would think your playing a game based off of a manga or anime. But its not one, it is completely original and even to those that don't particularly enjoy anime that much it's worth a play for the story.
Gameplay 5/5 as a person who played their last souls like game, I consider the combat in this game a major improvement towards a difficult game for everyone. While Dark souls games interest me for pvp & e, I love that they are trying to make games advertised for a larger player base. And the gameplay runs smoothly, boss fights are unique, and companions are a major plus (rather than sometimes hindering you like in Code vein). The companions rarely get in the way of a boss fight, and when they do, its the players fault not the ai's.
Quality 4.5/5 the game is well made for a large audience. Unlike From Softwares "git gud" way of making games, Scarlet Nexus welcomes people into a unique and welcoming game that I could only compare to a final fantasy souls like game with 10x the story. Minimum grinding, and for those who need to buy it, it's worth the $40. I haven't beat it the 2nd time (its meant to be played as two perspectives) I would say it takes a total of 35 average hours to beat. More only if the player spends an excessive amount of time in customization/ menus.
Complaints: wish they would of included multiplayer in a way. I wish the story went more indepth on other abilities. And lastly think the customization could be more than it is.
My pick for 2021's game of the year though its not a nominee.
