I didnt expect much after watching the trailers and my expectations were met when finally sitting down to watch this adaptation of one of my favorite horror video game franchises. The movie starts off well enough with the horror but then when all the characters get introduced it starts to lose it self trying to provide fan service (which failed to deliver in my opinion) . Poorly written dialogue and story telling keep you from having any feelings toward the characters if something happens to them. The biggest betrayal is how they portray Leon by mainly taking a back seat and being the joke of the movie and Wesker isnt the cold calculating member of Umbrella that we all love to hate. I cant really recommend this movie and its unfortunate that they had a great cast not get used to their strengths.

This movie had some interesting problems that I havent experienced all in one sitting. The first problem is that the movie was marketed as a horror/thriller while it turned out to be another type of mixed genre movie. While there are some scenes that have very much the horror/thriller aspect, its more of a "slow cooker" and tries to be story driven. I typically love that type of story telling but I wasnt expecting that for this movie. That change up did make for a difficult watch for me. The second issue would be that there was very little story while at the same time suffering from characters overexplaining the plot while not really moving it forward. I have even seen the movie being described as atmospheric, which is probably the best label to put it under since it is beautifully shot and the audio does play with the senses. The few actors that did actually appear on camera did a great job with what little story/interactions there were. I might try to give it another go at some point, but I feel this is a movie you have to expect less if you want to get more out of it.

A beautiful addition to the horror genre, with decent story and little else. The Pros: - Beautiful visuals with a great cast. - Fun the first go. - Decent love letter game to the Dead Space series. The Cons: - Has very little substance in terms of story. There is not much character development. - Game mechanics can be a bit clunky out of the box. No option to turn off immersive controls for PS5. Camera motion needed to be adjusted (Located in Accessibility if you want a more stable aim otherwise camera works against you). - Very little challenge due to the dodging system. Not many in-game rewards, weapons, skills and zero replay value. The Ugly: - Tried to 100% trophy complete the game through second replay, missed one bio data and could not return to area to collect it. (Game autosaved to thebpoint I could not return). Very frustrating. Hopefully there is a chapter selection in the future for future players. Fun game for one play-through. As of this post the game is on sale making it worth a pick up if you do not have anything else to play. But don't bother giving it a second play-through.

Finally a show that fleshes out the most famous Bounty Hunter in sci fi but I feel it fell flat at the end. Tumuera Morrison plays a great Fett along with having a great cast. The season starts off strong and stays that way. Unfortunately the season is too short and with too big of a main story while squeezing in a side story it feels like it was a rushed to really get to know any of the characters especially a certain bad guy gunslinger that makes an appearance. Also the ending was a bit lack luster to me having hyped up the final battle. It goes without saying you have to watch this season before seeing Mandalorian Season 3. Regardless its a good series despite some of the flaws and I can only see it improving if it returns.
