Miyazaki's opus. At this point, everyone knows what to expect from him, and if you haven't played this game yet and are a fan of Miyazaki's work, this will satisfy you and then some. My initial play through lasted approximately 200 hours, with another 100 hours to get to platinum. If you go in blindly, you will be amazed at every turn with the immense scale and level of detail. The narrative is not as obscure as previous titles, and overall it is perhaps the pinnacle of what the "souls-like" genre has to offer. He did invent it, of course. I'm not sure where FromSoftware can go next, or what heights they'll be able to achieve after creating this game, and perhaps if this is it (it surely isn't), one can't imagine going out on a higher note.
