Many people questions if STD is canon. I believe it is despite of all the raised issues regarding the story. Season 1 & 2 might feel very different with other series, but 3 & 4 are quite the experience nonetheless. Anyway, can't wait for the 5th.
And oh yeah, this is not "your dad's Star Trek" and "your grandpa's Star Trek".
