I am a fan of southern humor and the farce and a great fan of wacky and weird small town characters, Ghost Busting is loaded with all these elements. I was expecting something drier as many cozy mysteries are stuffed with too many recipes and very little in the way of fresh voice or original plotting. Daisy Pettles shattered those expectations and provided me with 5 hours of simply brilliant binge reading. A writer to watch. If you don't enjoy humor and farce and the off-beat this may not be the book for you but I like Janet Evanovich -- the middle books mostly -- and Ghost Busting (not a paranormal book BTW) has that same crackerjack wit and play back and forth between the leading characters who are retired, lifelong friends who have a sort of Lucy and Ethel vibe. Could easily by a sit-com hit ala Golden Girls in the country.
