When I saw the promo, I said wow! Days of thunder on a dirt track!
When I saw the actual movie, I saw the worst acting with the worst audio effects in a racing movie ever.
Ford stickers in every shot, even a terribly cliche' montage of father/son getting race car ready even though everything is brand new from the guy he bought it from. Why are they changing the carb. and axles? ITS BRAND NEW!!
Has the director ever been to a dirt track race? OR ANY RACE TRACK? The P.A. announcers are telling a story over the loudspeaker?! How about when the one racer slows way down so the whole field can pass then rams the son's race car when he passes? That guy would be thrown out of racing. How about when the dad hits his sons race car and rips the fuel cell off and a shot of it tumbles down the track with no fuel coming out of it, yet the car bursts into flames??? Should have been called Trading Cliche's or Drying paint. Rosabell Laurenti Sellers from Game of Thrones was the best part of the movie.
