I found the movie to be an enjoyable experience, the performances from the cast held up in my own opinion, especially Joel Edgerton, who I believe stood out. The main stand out for me was the combat, it was a breath of fresh air to see combat of that time portrayed in a much more realistic fashion and allowed me to sympathise with the characters and understand the stresses and panic for fighting for ones own life. I personally don’t see myself watching it again however would recommend that others take the time out to watch it, even just to see the final battle which I believed to be a successful risk taken by the film makers to steer away from conventional battles portrayed in our modern era.
