In the tradition of Kolchak: The Night Stalker and The X-Files, albeit differing with an 'inner beast' style of fairy tale. The last attempt, to this point, by a regular TV network to bring a sci-fi mystery to the screen. Characters bring a new meaning to multi-dimensional. A proud addition to the ranks of cult classic.

A winner, exemplified by both elements of 'themes': the plots dealing with topical themes, including controversial societal issues, showcasing marvelous performances led by Carl Betz; and the theme music, by Alexander Courage, creator of another iconic series score for the original 'Star Trek'. Regrettably, only two seasons, plus difficult to view outside of some presence on YouTube.
