Thunder Force is a unique take on the viral super hero movie. On the surface it is a fun and relatively enjoyable film. At less than two hours run time with a fast paced story you will definitely not feel like your time was wasted watching it........once. The visual effects are surprisingly decent and will neither disappoint nor particularly wow. The overall plot (parents die child seeks revenge) is very cliché and the storyline is so phoned in it will make you cringe. (It's basically your run of the mill buddy flick) The real shinning light of this movie is the cast, Octavia and Melissa are as always a joy to watch but the real stars come from the supporting cast with an absolutely amazing performance by Taylor Mosby and a genuinely great performance by Jason Bateman who frankly steals the show. Unfortunately for these amazing performers there was very little attempt at fleshing out their characters by the writers whose focus was on the action instead. It's a wholly forgettable movie but if you go in with no expectations you will probably end up enjoying the film.....like I said....once. 3 stars
