I'm not into jump scares, but I really did love the story of Samira experiencing Day 1 of the invading aliens. You need actors who are very expressive and convey much in silence. Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Djimon Honsou, and Alex Wolff were cast perfectly for this. Yes, you could see where the story was going, but it is the characters' interactions to this very scary experience that made it so watchable.

Loved it. So weird and intriguing. I kept watching in 2-3 episode binges, so savor it better. Episode 8 was very moving. Really existential.

I really enjoyed it overall. Certain aspects of the series seem a little too familiar. I’m assuming those are homages to British gangster movies and Japanese soap dramas. The cast is excellent.

A funny story about two women at different points in their careers working together to create great comedy. Mindy Kaling’s character, Mollie, is sweet, funny, charming and the underdog we definitely want to root for. The fact that Ms. Kaling write this script , just makes it more enjoyable , especially to her long time fans ( the Mindy Project and the Office) . Emma Thompson’s Katherine, is charming, very British, witty, and at times narcissistic and lacking compassion. She’s the brilliant artist that’s a terrible boss. Played by the always likable Emma Thompson though, she is someone you admire, with an interesting story to tell. Mindy has brought along a lot of her pals from her old jobs, including Amy Ryan, and Ike Barinholtz. And then there’s Katherine’s husband,Walter, played by John Lithgow, in a quiet, grounding role . All in all- I laughed; I laughed some more. I cried and then I smiled and laughed again.
