The actors gave their best to a weak story line. Besides the tired white saviour narrative, the overall plot is difficult to believe. Some of the Rambo action sequences are a bit unrealistic, like when the out-numbered protagonist easily kills all his attackers on multiple occasions. My conclusion: it's a poor man's 'man on fire'.
