Very funny, very compelling and a very fresh take on the possessed/demonic child trope of the 1970s...It doesn't offer us a neat, binary good vs evil explanation either, taking the initial idea of a curse into far more complex waters, which was really good. Parenthood now comes wrapped with existential fear (about costs, careers, purpose and desire) that we as a society struggle to discuss. And children and young people are being labelled as febrile, mad and ungrateful as a result. This series manages to epitomise a lot of those themes in a very deft, funny way
