Simply brilliant. Andor is totally engrossing. Finally some intelligent fare on TV that doesn't dumb down the audience. Full accolades to excellent writing, great casting, incredible directing, perfect visualisation and wonderful editing. I can't think of a better TV series that excels in every department. One star for each. It's like experiencing a fine dining meal of wagyu beef done perfectly by a Michelin star chef compared with all the fast food of hamburgers and fried chicken offered everywhere else. Andor is for the discerning. The complexity of the politics of Star Wars is so relatable and relevant, thanks to the thoughtful dialogue. Looking forward to more of the series. It's the first time since The Mandalorian and Only Murders in the Building that I have looked forward to an episode being dropped each week. Thank you, Kathleen Kennedy, for this quality production. I'm loving this. *Chef's kiss.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is really the best Spiderman tribute made so far, and it is especially dedicated to all the faithful fans. It will be difficult to top this one. In the entire Spiderman universe, this has got to be the best. It's not perfect but it checks all the right boxes. Even for Marvel fans, you cannot NOT watch this one as it ties directly to the multiverse and the What-If TV series. It's also going to be the most talked about Spiderman film for a long, long time. So please go watch it soonest possible so that the rest of us who are going to watch a few more times can finally talk about it!

I was beyond disappointed. I can't believe what I have just watched. Sam Raimi ruined Wanda Maximoff's character arc the same way Rian Johnson ruined Luke Skywalker's. The script lacked continuity with who she was in Wandavision and how she handled that grief, and suddenly, she has been dumbed down to a one-dimensional mentally ill mother who killed across the universe so that she could be with her children. What kind of rubbish script is that? Perhaps it was in the comic books, I don't know. But as a film goer, and one who has watched every single Marvel film and series, I do know that packing up with CGI bells and whistles without good story telling is going to kill not only this film, but also the coming ones in this new phase. Kevin Feige, if you are reading this, please go back to your drawing board, because I am getting off this Multiverse train.

I managed to catch a screening of Le Dou Dou at the French Film Festival, and the hall was packed! Le Dou Dou (Looking for Teddy) is an uplifting French comedy of a search for a teddy bear lost in the airport. While it comes across as a silly caper filled with gags and nonsense, underlying this is a subtle social commentary of the poverty of French migrants who eke out a living as airport employees and such, while trying to hustle a few more Euros or dates with air stewardesses. The chemistry between the two lead actors is what makes the film engaging. Why that teddy is so important brings the tale to a touching conclusion that would bring a tear to your eye. Catch it if you can.
