The sound through the first half is incredible. This movie feels like Hitch with some extra creep and even tighter tension if that's possible. Close to a perfect film. Hard to believe it was shot at the end of the fifties. It was very nearly one of a kind. Powell on his own and with Prressberger had some killer flicks. Age of Consent was another one on his own that was so cool.
