Such a lovely movie. Explores some really big questions and certainly Pixar's most philosophical to date. Life is a gift and if only we could learn to appreciate the smaller things more often without being swept away in trying to achieve something. My favourite moment is when Joe realises that he has indeed led a very fulfilling life and has changed other people's lives too. A real tonic for the materialism we are engulfed in today.

Having studied Classics I have to say this is absolutely fantastic. The depiction and behaviour of the Gods is spot on. The general level of gore is true to how the Greeks liked to tell it. It's is the classic formula of a Greek tale. The tragedy which besets the protagonist sets the tale in motion. Also the blood line being initially unknown is classic Greek fare. To have a fresh tale set in this world has set my imagination alight again. Studying the classics in my teens has been without doubt the most valuable piece of education I was lucky to receive. The references in the modern world are everywhere and it is so hard to fathom just how much this period influenced our current culture. Watch and enjoy. Wonderful storytelling.

I love this Movie I watched it tonight for the first time again in years. Its a tragedy at its core. It deeply moves me that a person can reach a point we're life seems no longer worth living despite all the material possessions in life. How life can change from the smallest decisions. We are made from the sadness and joy in life and everyone deserves tenderness. The soundtrack is excellent although you won't find it on any streaming service as the rights must have expired. REM sweetness follows will stay with me forever because of this movie.
