Gohan and Piccolo are the best duo in all of Dragon Ball and to see them get their time to shine in this was just awesome. They really did Gohan dirty in the show by turning him into the Great Sayaman and making him weak. But after seeing this I think the creators gave OG Gohan fans a great payoff. I loved the dynamic of the new android characters and look forward to seeing what they do with it going forward. The comedy bits were also hilarious and landed for me most of the time. Lastly, on the controversial topic of the animation...Let's just be real here. 3D animation allows artists to achieve what they want for much cheaper than traditional 2D animation. Yes, it does look quite different than what we're used to, But the actual quality of the 3D animation is smooth and fantastic. If they can give us more quality Dragon Ball content like this at the cost of leaving behind 2D animation then I'm all for it. Great movie!
