I gave this show a try for Jared. I wish I could say it was worth it. They say this is going to deal with more "real" issues but the writing has missed the mark.
No parent would allow their child to disrespect them the way Stella does her father.
No mother would treat her GROWN son like he is incapable of making decisions.
No athlete would walk away from a starting lineup with recruiters for a friend.
This whole show is horribly written.
If that is not bad enough, I watch TV to escape reality.
The show was not even on for 5 minutes when race was brought into it. We get enough of that topic by opening Facebook or turning on the news. We get it. She is Mexican. She is woman. She has worked hard.
I am tired of it now. The whole show revolves around Micki and that is not what I singed up for. It is not called Micki & Walker!
Why is it okay for her to kick butt, but when Walker does he upsets the Captain? He gets in trouble?
I do not like the double standards this show has, and does, nothing but further segregate people.
This is not "real".
This is not "today".
This is a horrible joke that you have somehow wrapped one of my favorite actors into.
The next episode will be my last chance with this show. If it has not improved by the 3rd episode than I don't believe it ever will.
