Fawlty Towerz

The Netflix Series lacks even basic intelligence in its story lines. The story telling is the let down. Resembles something hastily put together. The 5 strands are repeated endlessly - (1) People are all the time kidnapped...sometimes the same person multiple times. (2) Almost every character wears 2 or 3 masks so after a while one expects gangsters to also be working as a police informers. Likewise almost every policeman is also in the pay of gangsters. The personalities of the main characters goes thru multiple makeovers so in the end nobody has any core personality to speak of (3) Another strange story line is betrayal.....almost every character is betraying the rest . Even family members betray each other. Nobody is loyal to anyone be it the gangsters or crooked cops. Its like the show must go on and anything goes, so long as viewers can be "surprised" (4) Cut glasses and decanters in almost every segment. The cast go nowhere without these cut glasses and decanters (5) A SPIRIT called Mermaid shows up regularly to torture some of the gangsters. Believe this and pigs must fly. IN SUMMARY : A cheap, unprofessional, mish mash with repeated plots, bizarre twists, struggling actors and story lines which lurch from the sublime to the absolute ridiculous.

Matrix marries Alice in Wonderland marries James Bond 007. If one is looking for hugely exaggerated stuff which mocks ones intellect this is the 'Go To' movie. Slow burn and boring. A poor quality, disappointing last episode for an actor who is leaving this series.

Agonisingly slow. Half the movie comprises flashbacks....many meaningless ! 4 episides could wrap up what is a Slow Slow burn story line. Very average and Netflix seems to be in love with flashbacks, sex scenes and tripe.
