I think the movie was an utter disgrace. Number one, when somebody accepts Jesus Christ, one is a "NEW" creation. Whereby at "that" point, you "start" to turn ones life around. All through this movie, it "G-damn this, and F-this and that. Is this the incredible "faith" that Mark Wahlberg claims to possess? Can he actually find some level of justification before Jesus Christ, for sinning in such a "mocking" manner, for what Christ did on the cross? Does he think Christ will say, "I know your making a movie, so I'll will let such sins slide. You can blaspheme not only my name, but also my fathers"? This movie is "so much" like the Catholic faith believes Christianity to be. And that is, "do what you want in life, sin as you will. Then confess before the Priest, and your good to go, till ones next confession"! The Catholic Faith will be responsible for vast amounts of so-called believers. Who will find their eternal resting place, a not so resting place, in eternal hell. The Catholic faith has always made a mockery of Jesus Christ, and what he did for mankind on the cross. The religion places people in position to accept believers confessions. Instead of teaching people that Christ needs "no" other before him. Instead people place their hope in Priest's, Cardinals, Pope, and a Virgin Mary. Who is no no more Holy than you or I. Only difference she is stone cold DEAD! Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. Nobody comes to the father except through ME"! This movie reminded me of the gangsters in the Godfather...same song and dance. Sin all you want. Then go to the Priest, he accepts ones confession. No mention of any life transformation, one is free to sin at "will"!
