SPOILERS:
This is a great Game! Don't listen to the haters. They are just mad about what happened to Joel. Also, a lot of them haven't even played the game yet and are just going off of what others have said. The graphics are breathtaking, the zombies look so real and scare the s*** out of you, the characters are awesome and they have an effect on you, the combat in the game is fantastic, and the story is great! You will love it and you will be left heartbroken by the end of the story. You will understand by the end of the game of what the story is really about. What everybody is missing. As Arthur Morgan once said, "Revenge is a fools game." This game is about acceptance. Realizing that revenge isn't worth losing a family (Dina and JJ). Not to mention, losing two fingers and no longer being able to do the only thing Joel ever taught her which is playing the guitar.
Now, Ellie is all alone. She realized it too late! She realized that killing Abby wouldn't have made her feel any better about what happened to Joel, and that if she accepted the hand she had been dealt, Dina, JJ would be with her, She wouldn't have lost two fingers, Tommy wouldn't have gotten shot, be able to walk, and probably would have Maria still, and Jesse would still be alive. Instead, She's got no Joel, No Dina, No JJ, No Maria, and No Jesse. She always said she was "scared of ending up alone" and now she is alone because she made a choice to go out for revenge and her friends followed her to help, and because of that decision, her friends ended up getting killed. Perhaps she will go find Tommy or Dina as they are the only ones alive still, but IDK. Not all games can have happy ending (RDR2 with Arthur Morgan) and some are better ending in a sad and depressing way. It gives you a better understanding of what the game is really about. Revenge wasn't worth it after all.
