Wow they really are challenging the west how they do horror movie. I found it excellent however the message from the movies makes me question a lot of things. Allah and His teaching is the only way. So what message does the movie tell us that every village has their own tradition and not following it will suffer hell like consequences… uh huh. Sure. Who cares about tradition in which was built from personal beliefs of humans before introduction of Islam. It makes me even question more that Indonesian horror movies are on the rise especially about cults and satanism but not movies that promote Islam being the medicine or counter such abomination. Aside from the glaring obviousness that Indonesians are straying from Islamic teachings, i gave it 3 stars because of how netflix is kurang hajar (rude) to translate Dua to “spell” when i switched on the subtitle. The audacity toimply our prayers as SPELLS. And it does not make any bloody sense why they have to do the ritual, cant you just get the hell out of the house and have someone sell the house for them. Sigh.
