The only thing this show has going for it is Riordan bts and the title of an amazing book series. This show is no adaptation it is instead a rewrite of Percy Jackson. The amount of bad changes and plot holes that are made by those bad changes are insane. Yes there may have been plot holes in the book series but when compared to this show they are insignificant. I was super excited when Disney announced this show over a year ago but now that the first season is nearly over all I can say is this show is trash. I wish they stayed a lot closer to the book than they did. This show only has the blueprint of the book, otherwise it couldn't be further. In the book the kids were meant to be naive about the outside world and kept falling into every trap. But in this show they somehow know every trap they're about to walk into when it's their first time in the area. Also the Gods are extreme hypocrites. They ignore their kids who are in the camp but then they talk about how much they care for their kids and want to be with them. Based on the useless, stupid, and unnecessary changes they made to the Lightning Thief I am NOT excited to see how Riordan and Disney butcher Sea of Monsters. Please just let the kids be kids and learn from their mistakes rather than knowing everything (Percy), and let them fall for the traps.
