The clown prince of crime from an alternative perspective. This is not César Romaro’s Joker... well now that I think about it... no, still not THAT Joker. I said going into the film that it looks like Taxi Driver & the King of Comedy had a baby called JOKER, & in style & the set pieces this is true but doesn’t quite reach those heights of “Scorsian” film making. It really picks up in the last 45 minutes but pacing is its biggest flaw. Once we get to JOKER it’s a ride of BRUTAL violence, blood & broken psyche. While I highly recommend it, I’d say some won’t like it, understand it or even hate it. But if you watch the movie that’s exactly what I think Todd Philips was going for... Joaquin Phoenix will win awards... I’d say general public & media will question its violence & motives while ignoring their own...(That’s Life)
