Grimm Daze

SPOILER ALERT🚨 It's a Disney Movie and I mean that literally! I have seen everything in this franchise multiple times. I know the difference between storylines and I pay attention to the Easter eggs. This film was a complete let down to me. I was literally praying for cast members to be killed. The plot was ridiculous. There are too many scenes that were remakes from previous films except the previous films had good lighting. Even some of the lines were re-used. The homage to the Engineers was horrible and an insult to the Prometheus film. One facehugger has been more than enough for sometimes 3 or 4 characters to deal with in all previous films. In Alien Romulus, characters can bat them away like a pesty fly, outrun them or just be quiet and walk through entire rooms full of them by merely turning up the heat to match their body temperature and not getting goose bumps! Yes, you read that correctly. Damn goose bumps in an Alien franchise film. Straight up sacrilege in my book No real Alien attacks or music scoring to keep the pulse up. Pulse up. My.pulsd only went up when I got outta my seat to go home. Nothing truly scary. To me it shows how little was put into the storyline. I wonder how much woke Disney Movie madness was put into the script? Actually at this point probably all of it. Even the ending was a complete rip-off from the Ridley Scott masterpiece Alien of 1979.I think they should have remembered who their audience was and still is.. GenX, because without us these films would have stayed with Ripley and been dead after Alien 3. Now , they took everything we have grown to love, know and understand about the franchise and handed it over to Fede Alvarez which was a huge mistake. Even the facehuggers are a different color and the Xenomorph looked like it cocooned itself and came birthing out. That was different and completely gross. He made a horrible, old school, wanna be, badly lit film that was nothing more than a Xerox copy of scenes from past creations and called it new! Even the scene with Rain Carradine wearing the boots that Ripley wore in Aliens while walking through the beam on the floor while holding a F44AA Pulse Rifle with a self aiming stock which is better than the space Marines have in Aliens was an insult. Rain Carradine 😂 Just wait and watch it on a streaming service if you understand what I have mentioned above about the previous films you will understand why you should not pay for a ticket to Disneys Alien on the ice rings. I guarantee you will feel pretty let down from Fede Alvarez and the crew. Everyone except the special effects teams that it.. Well almost all of them. Ash was way to young and the CGI or AI was bad. Really bad. We all waited and we all wanted greatness again and we didn't get it. I wanted to love this movie but it's 2024. When making an Alien franchise film you will be held to a certain level of authenticity and in this film Fede Alvarez copied everything except the creature at the ending at it looked like a Reaper from the Blade franchise and even fed the same way. Ridley Scott should never have approved Fede Alvarez for this film.
