Henri-Levi captures the anguish of an Israel - a Jewish people! - alone. But, alas, like all intellectuals, he reflexively distills the problem down to the Left’s two favorite ogres: Trump and Netanyahu. To boot, he also throws Israel’s refusal to countenance a Palestinian state, as another contributor. If Henri-Levy would, just for a minute, look into a mirror instead of only to the right, he’d find the real source of his errors. The book is nevertheless heartfelt and should shake the conscience of everyone with reasoned mind.
