Husband was watching. I tried to get interested. Way too fragmented. I'm assuming the women who were burned as witches were single women with property. Someone wanted whatever these women possessed. Or were they possessed? Maybe the women were a threat to the men in the community. They needed a scapegoat.
Then, there is the theory that there was a fungus growing on their crops because of a wet spring. Our country was in its infancy and there were no real laws to deal with superstition and mass hysteria. Where is the antidote for this movie? No redeeming qualities whatsoever.
