I will never us Fandango ever again!!! Worst customer service. I bought 2 movie tickets and using the app. Unfortunately my wife got sick and could not make it to the movies with me. I didn’t want to lose out on one of the ticket so instead I bought another one in person when I got to the movie theater.
I decided not to use the QR code given to me when I purchased tickets with the app. Hoping Fandango would understand and refund or give me a rain check for the tickets.
I was told by Fandangos representative that refund can not be made after the movie show time. I was not aware of that and plus I was already at the theater explaining to the workers there about my situation and they told me to contact Fandango. Unfortunately, the movie was about to start so I don’t not have anytime to call them so I figured I would call them after.
When I spoke with the representative with Fandango, I explained to him that the app was not scanned meaning I purchased another ticket in person to watch the movie so technically the tickets are still un-used in the app. He told me that because I called after the showing time he could not refund me. I tried to explain my situation and told him he can look at me ticket number and shows it was not scanned. He said “sorry there’s nothing I can do for you” so I’m out $15.
Frustrating how their customer service is not willing to work with you. I’m sure this has happened before. Look at their rating on Google and shows 1.8 out of 5. Now I know why. Everyone, do yourself a favor, purchase tickets onsite. It’ll save you a lot of headaches trying to deal with Fandango.
