While the book was fiction, it was cleverly woven with true facts from Clarice Beckett's life. Having recently seen 'Atmosphere' at Geelong Gallery I was absorbed in Kristel Thornell's passionate and poignant novel about Clarice's talent and private life and I was deeply moved.
