Nintendo should have released a build mode. The game is ridiculously slow in pace because of the lack of quality of life features.
If you are trying to redesign your island you could have up to 21 buildings to move (10 villager homes, 8 player homes, 1 shop, 1 tailors, and 1 museum). Each building needs 1 day to move and you can only move 1 building at a time. You can speed this up by time traveling (changing date/time to 1 day forward) however you will still need to listen to Isabelle's unskipable dialogue. If you didn't like your design, or if things are off by 1 square, you must move all the buildings again twice (once to get it out of the way and again to correct it). Also you can only order 5 items per day via the nook app. This game makes time traveling necessary and the end result can be frustrating. Players are now trying to get their hands on early versions of the Nintendo Switch so they will be able to cheat. Nintendo made patches that removed modded designs from the game like star fragment trees. I think it was a poor move on Nintendo's part because building is what makes the game fun and modding is harmless. Animal Crossing is not a competitive game. Building a personalized island for yourself does not ruin the fun for other players.
It would be awesome if Nintendo made some changes to the game like a build mode (similar to the sketch app but outdoors and can plan terraforming). And perhaps upgrades made to residential services so we could move several buildings at once in one go. And upgrades to nook shop so we aren't capped at 5 order items per day.
